1. The serial earth modules of the “REX earth stone” with high strength can adopt both horizontal and vertical embedment modes, whose depth must arrive at the thermostat layer or 20cm below the permafrost layer, but must not less than 0.6m at least. The deeper the depth of embedment, the better the effect of the resistance reduction.
2. The best distance between modules is 5m, and we suggest it is proper to be 4m. If the environment does not permit this, the distance can be moderately widened or reduced.
3. There are four connection ways between the horizontal groundwire and the “REX earth stone” earth module: one, cold-weld of wire connecting terminal; two, fireclay heat sealing; three, electric welding of pot galvanizing steel flat; four, welding of pot galvanizing round steel.
1.If adopting the three heat welding methods mentioned as the second, third and fourth methods in item 3, and when the constructional environment permits, please firstly make the welding of groundwire and hot-dip galvanized metal joint lever of the module well done, then after the cooling of the weld, locking the module and confirm its fastness. If the condition does not permit, and it must firstly locking the module and then weld the groundwire, please at first dip the module into water as long as 24 hours, and then wrap a large piece of very wet cloth onto the place where the joint lever and the stainless pole piece are welded, so as to prevent from influencing the combination of the pole piece and the module due to too high welding heat and too long welding time.
2.Please before connecting with the pole piece of the module, fully spread conductive cream onto the place of screw thread of the “REX earth stone” earth module’s pot galvanizing joint lever, so as to make the joint lever and the stainless pole piece closely connected. If the fully close connection can not be realized indeed, please fill up a stainless steel shim of Φ10 to make them closely connected.
3.Please clean out the welding slag of the electric welding, and then for antisepsis, spread asphalt before the quality of heat of welding does not retire. Finally use 1:2 cement mortars to encapsulate the weld as well as the connection place of the joint lever and the pole piece, so as to reinforce the antisepsis.
4.If adopt the connection way of cold-weld of wire connecting terminal, the welding of the groundwire and the terminal must be confirmed, and positively wind the stainless screw, then surely encapsulate the tie-in place with 1:2 cement mortar to avoid the metal part erode and affect the use lifetime accordingly.
5. If the condition permits, before the use of the “REX earth stone”, please firstly dip it into water as long as 24 hours. After that, it can be used. This is because when it fully absorbs water, the waiting time for resistance reduction can be shortened, and better effect of resistance reduction can be more rapidly gained.
6. When backfill the soil, please pour a large amount of water into the soil around the earth module, and then mash up it, so as to be beneficial for close contact each other and improve the resistance reduction.
7.Please do not add other materials containing chloride helpful for resistance reduction, such as industrial salt and so on, so as not to cause environmental contamination and affect the use lifetime of the series ES earth module of the “REX earth stone”. If you want to faster get better effect of resistance reduction, you can add more water according to item 8.
